About Maverick Indian

The word "maverick" simply means 'A person who simply thinks and behaves in an independent way, often behaving differently from the usual way. Or in other words an unorthodox person.' Maverick Indian(MI) is a thought-provoking page. MI provides a platform to the maverick youth of the country to express their views/thoughts on a wide range of issues. MI covers a wide spectrum of ideas. From politics to arts, from economics to literature, from history to fiction and so on.

Position of MI on politics and economics

"Firstly we are Indians. And lastly we are Indians."
MI does not support any political party. MI supports nationalist and pro-India policies. We staunchly believe in the cultural integration of the country. As far as economics is co
ncerned, we strongly support free market policies. For India we support capitalism and/or integral humanism as the economic model.
Why MI?

The main idea which led to the creation of MI was to provide a platform to common folks who wanted to speak from time immemorial but somehow couldn't. To change the current discourse/ecosystem which is led by few mainstream journalists to the common people of India.


What's special about MI?

* MI will work as a watchdog of govt. and the media.
* MI will support public participation on social issues and to raise their voice against injustice.
* MI will provide a platform to show your creativity(art,blogging photography etc.) to the whole world.

About our writers:-

1) Aditya Singh Chouhan - He is the mind behind the creation of MI. He's an engineer, blogger and a motivational speaker. His areas of interest includes Motivational writing, fiction etc.

2) Ayush Singh- The title "Maverick Indian" was given by him. Currently pursuing Bcom(H) from DU is a content writer and contributor at MI. His areas of interest includes politics, economics, history, culture etc. He dreams of an India free of injustice and poverty.

3) Yosha Singh-  Currently pursuing b.com hons. Her areas of interest includes creativity, art and craft. The logo of MI was designed by her. She believes that art can change minds, that art is magic and that art heals heart.

4) Ankita Singh- A literati, psychologist and a political enthusiast. She describes herself as "Student of English and daughter of Hindi." Her fields of interest includes literature, socio-politics, current affairs etc.
